Emergency Pet Records’ original concept was a records management system developed to provide protection of one of the most valuable assets veterinarians have—the medical records of the pets they care for.  At the same time EPR would be able to help provide optimal care for those pets in after-hours emergencies by allowing records access by emergency veterinarians that clients are referred to.

The original concept has not gained the acceptance and support by primary care veterinarians that we thought it might so we are in the process of “re-tooling” the system.  We believe a system that allows access to medical records by emergency personnel is an important improvement in the care that can be given to our pets.  With this in mind we will put the system together in a manner that allows pet owners to cooperate with there primary care veterinarian and their emergency veterinarian to provide for medical records access.
